If you get into Naples by plane, it not the best choice to opt to reach Positano or Amalfi by ferry as the port of Naples is distant from the airport of Capodichino and our rentals are not close to the harbors of either Positano or Amalfi (except for few of those). We encourage the use of a car service to here in most cases, if not all.
Whilst if you reach the area by train and exit the town of Salerno, the ferry is a great option to reach Amalfi. The Salerno port of Piazza Della Concordia is at only 5 minutes of a walk from the train station where the fast trains of Italo-Treno and Frecciarossa have their terminus.
From the towns of Amalfi and Positano connections are available to all main ports of the region: Salerno, Capri and Maiori (between April and mid-November), Sorrento – Naples – Ischia (only in the high season June-September).
Smaller towns like Praiano, Furore, Conca Dei Marini and Ravello do not have mooring for large boats and rely on their sister town ones. Tourists for those destinations should prefer the port of Amalfi and commute in Salerno for fast trains as the harbor of Amalfi is at easy reach to hop on a Sitasud bus. Obviously Positano tourists must choose its port to reach the town.
Please ask your agent or contact us via WhatsApp or mail to get advices as the use of ferries, especially if you have a flight to catch, should be never an option!
